Client: Monday Night Brewery

In January 2020 I have been contacted by Monday Night Brewery based in Atlanta USA. They had a new line of hard seltzer coming up and needed a visual to show the line in a single image.

The initial brief image was as follows:

As they had the can photos what they needed was flying fruit pieces with the color of actual drinks. As we created the first image we can into the realization that when we create the drink like the water in the above mock-up it doesn’t give the seltzer feeling, on the other hand when we create the image as it is rushing out of the can then the visual doesn’t look very appealing.

Therefore the brand decided not to show the liquid in the image but only show the fruit pieces. In addition I wasn’t very happy with the photos of the cans I believed I can create better visuals of the drinks in 3D. I made two runs one with condensation on can and one without. Although 3D has amazing capabilities some natural organic things we see every day can’t be made look as real as a photo. Therefore the condensation didn’t pass the approval from the brand.

I believe the 3D designed cans have been a huge improvement over the available photos. As a final stage we added stock photos on the imagery and created the final look.

Finally, it’s very satisfying to see your design come to life on an actual product.
